Scot started his public safety career serving his community in 1986 as a junior member of the Chatham County Rescue Squad where he continues to serve today on the Board of Directors.
Scot's professional career includes being a NC (1990) Paramedic, Nationally Registered Paramedic (1994), and Critical Care Paramedic (1997) for over 30 years.
Scot is a credentialed NC Executive Emergency Manager, Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) and Communications Center Manager (CCM). He is a credentialed Incident Commander, Planning Section Chief, Operations Section Chief, and Logistics Section Chief for the NC AHIMT and has participated in multiple in-state and out-of-state deployments.
Scot is very versed in the emergency services field and is a proven leader who is dependable and trustworthy. He is a career public servant who functions as an advocate for the citizens while ensuring that common sense and safety are applied in every scenario.
He now travels extensively across the State teaching, conducting exercises, and consulting on Incident Command, Emergency Management, Emergency Medical Services, Emergency Communications and Technical Rescue related functions.
